Music Mentoring Program

Origins and Mission

In 2021, Cabot Arts received a donation from Share the Music Inc. on the condition that the funds would be used to provide music education for the community. In 2022 Cabot Arts began offering private music classes to musicians looking to improve their skills.

Because Cabot has developed a vibrant Old Time Jam Session, the individuals chosen to receive classes have come from the pool of young and aspiring musicians attending the jam session. The mission of the session is to revive the traditional fiddle and dance culture of Central and Northern Vermont.
